RidgeRunner thanks for the reply .The gun is a antique so I would like to stay as close to original as possible .I could make the stock but it would look new which is not what I wanted .I have two of these one belonged to my grandfather and one belonged to my wifes father . I'm giving them to one of my kids for a keepsake .Thanks again.

halcon I'm in a simular situation as you are.I have a Winchester model 94 pre 64 post WW II in 32 Win Special. The people I got it from installed a recoil pad.I'm not sure if it was cut down or not.I know there are after market stocks out there but I want an original. This gun is in excellent condition except for this losey recoil pad.Even if I could find an original butt plate it would help. Thanks if anybody can help.Ruger Redhawk

Ruger-Redhawk I see a lot of buttplates at gun shows you might try there or a company called Gun Parts . I believe they are on the web . I have a winchester 32 special also but mine is a Marlin 1893 model carbine . Says for smokeless powder on the barrel .I guess I should say had because I gave it to one of the kids . Good luck in finding your part .

Halcon, If Gun Parts Corp don't have it then try here: http://www.gun-parts.com/index.html/index.html/

Ruger, you pre-64 M-94 in 32 Special originally had a steel butt plate on it if I am not mistaken. Try the link above, some times he has it when no one else does.

Thanks halcon & 1 shot, I'll check this out. Thanks for the inf that my 94 had a steel butt plate. What a shame to ruin a nice rifle like a pre 64 with a recoil pad. I also have a current Gun Parts catalog. I'll have to get busy finding one.I appreciate your help.Ruger Redhawk
