i just want to know,WHO HAS A SAVAGE RIFLE FOR 199.00, i'll buy 10 at that price today. i wouldn't even care what caliber they were.

Is the 7mm Rem the mag or .280?I'd go with the .270 or .280 if that's what you meant.

Go with the 270. It won't beat your lights out,shoots flat, and will flatten any bear that you are after. Pete took his grizzly with a 270 winchester, and I have flattened elk with them. Easy to reload,and more than enough for any deer that walks,

Since I have both a .270 and a 7mm RM in a Savage rifle, I can tell you that while both are great rifles for hunting, my M110 in 7mm RM is considerably more accurate (sub-MOA)...of course in order to really tell the difference you have to shoot at targets in the 300+ yard range...
