RE: Scope opinions please
I have a 3X9 Leupold on my .338WM, been there for 10 years.. no problems whatsoever...I've never shot it at 900 yards but I've shot it plenty at 500-600, testing bullet drops and 9 power is do-able but it's not enough for benchrest..

RE: Scope opinions please
Well, I think ive decided on a nikon buckmaster in 3-9x40 thanks for the input all at first I was convinced I needed a higher power scope but it seems as tho I dont. Now my next thing to decide is to go silver or black the scope is offered in both. My gun is stainless and black synthetic. Im leaning tward a black scope with black rings...Heard the silvers seldom match and I dont want it too "bling bling" haha.

On a black syth. stocked riflematte blackis like peas in a pod IMO.
All my scoped rifleshave matte black scopes and mounts. I think theywork on wood/blued, wood/SS and syth./blued or SS...basically any combo really.More portable, if things change in the future..in my case that happens more then my wife needs to know about
