The Stevens is a Savage model 110 without the accutrigger and still a great rifle. Go for it.

I would still go with theStevens and again thats only because I know more about Savage (Stevens). Enjoy your new Gun!!!

Nature of the 243 is the accuracy. I think any modern rifle will suit you. I have a rem700 BDL243 will almost touch bullet holes at 100yrdsall stock parts. Great Gun I bought it off a friend for $150.

My 270 SPS Stainless Model 700 will shoot 1" at 100 all stock parts

Kinda hard for me to venture outside of anything but remington.
