well they,EAA,REMINGTON,AND BAIKAL have been talking about importing them into the us for about 5 years that i know of.a few came here but mainly for shows .a handful of dealers got some and many that i read about said they had one or used one,and most of the comments were not good.but i kept trying to get one,and reading more on them,it seemed everyone that could produce a picture of one, that did not come from a web site liked them, and i started to think who really had one or were they just posting what they read.i finally found one a little after christmas at guns america.i bought it but did not have hi hopes for it.figured you pay $900 for a double rifle what do you expect...well i was wrong on all accounts.its not quite as pretty as most doubles, and not as big as most double.but it shoots as good as most doubles and its at least $5000 cheaper.the only thing i hear now is low pressure stuff,it will handle standard 45/70 loads,if you are hunting something that you cant kill with the regular 405 gr ammo you buy at any gun store, then you are using the wrong gun anyways.(because you would be in africa for the big 5)also cabelas has one called the kodiak or something like that ,it too is standard 45/70 ammo only.but its $3500.so i have learned once again in life beleive nothing that you hear, and only half of what you see.LOL

Remington announced this rifle quite a few years before they could get them in stock to sell in the U.S. Glad to see they finally got some to sell. The factory .45/70 load consisting of the 405 grain bullet at around 1300 FPS MV is plenty powerful enough for use up to 100 yards or maybe a bit more.

Wow, that gun has some phenomenal wood in it! That is one very good looking gun. I really like it. I didnt realize those guns had double triggers. That is also really appealing in a double gun. Great gun!
That's what I was thinking, too! Looks like "A" grade walnut, maybe "AA".
