I want to purchase a youth rifle for my son, for deer hunting. I would like something that he can grow with. I checked out the Weatherby Vanguard youth model and it looked pretty good. Also need suggestions on calibers. Open to suggestions I am probably leaning towards .243 caliber

I would go with a T/C Encore with a bantam stock. You can add more potent barrels as he grows. Good luck.
