very interesting post..I was just looking for a slug gun here in rhode island...its cheaper just to buy the gun...870 rem expressw/ rifled calv.barrel was 400...they had a moss 500 combo with the calv.barrel and a field barrel for 300 both at dicks sports...the rem barrels were 300 bucks...holy cow...I seen the cost of the slugs...wow almost 3 bucks a round....I'm useing my mag 870 for this season...I'm looking at the savage slugger its a bolt 3 round alittle over 500 bucks

Those bolt action Savages are usuallu good guns.
