slug barrel help
I'm looking for a slug barrel for my Benelli Super Black Eagle and can't believe the prices.
Any help would be appreciated or anyone selling a used one, or know any places that sell used barrels would work also.
Thanks in advance for your time!

I'm sort of in the same boat. I'll be purchasing a rifled slug barrel for my Rem 11-87 very soon and it runs around $300. I'm sure the Benelli barrel is more. But you bought one of the most expensive shotguns out there so accessories aren't going to be cheap.

I would think about just getting a whole new gun...you could get a H&R slug gun AND a very decent scope for what those barrels cost. And coming from a former Benelli dealer, those things cost a mint straight for Benelli your dealer isn't trying to ream you....for what its worth. Not to mention my money is on the H&R in the accuracy dept. Ive played with a few of those and they do a lot better than you'd think for the money!!

RE: slug barrel help
I was lucky with my Nova, I bought it as a combo with a bird barrel and cantilever slug barrel for $400 brand new off the popular gun auction site (Got real lucky on that one). Rifled barrels for the SBE II are hard to find, cost north of $600 just for the barrel, and I don't believe are even available in cantilever. Much as I'm sure you love the SBE II, I would echo the above and keep that as your bird gun and spend the money on a dedicated deer gun.
Heck, for the cost of the barrel, you can get one of these bad boys:

sbe2 has a one piece barrel and reciever just like the sbe1. the reciever is drilled and tapped for a scope. you will also need a new forearm that has w wider channel for the fatter barrel. the foremarm is $150 and the barrel is about $500. i have an E.R. shaw custom barrel and it shoot good although never use it.
