anyone know the twist?

OK like i already posted before i bought a H&R ultra varmit 243 with a 24" bull barrel and can't find anything that says what the twist is im thinking 1 in 12 but not sure can anyone help me out im trying to find out everything i can about this gun its the first i have bought myself (new) and i want to start making it a better rifle.

Measure it yourself.......
Start a patched cleaning jag in the chamber end, make a markon the cleaning rod with a black sharpie marker even with the breech face.
Make another markon the cleaning rod near the handle at "top dead center".
Push the rod/patched jag, slowlydown the bore untilthe mark "at top dead center" has revolvedONE complete turn and has returned to "top dead center". Stop.
Make another mark on the cleaning rod, again even with the breech face.
Then withdraw the cleaning rod/jag and measure the distance between the two marks you made that were even with the breech face, in inches with a tape rule, ect. You will then have "X" number of inches per one revolution.
Probably 1:9.5 or 1:10............
