I would try a few different ones and see what shoots best from your gun. I use Winchester Platnium Supremes and run about $12 a box in my area. These are about the most accurate out of my 12 g 870. My personal opinion is not favorable on the Lightfields. I feel they are too soft and don't penatrate as well as others. They do plenty of damage but no exit wound. I like the exit wound becuase of hunting from tree stands and getting a down angle. Just my opinion.

don't penetrate?? an 1.25oz slug (12ga) not penetrate?? i've not had a problem.

I've seen several people in my area of southern Indiana have a problem with them not penetrating both sides. Like I said, they do a lot of damage but I know three or four people that have had this happen. That's why I use the Winchesters. It's all about personal choice and what works for each person.
