Yep. No two guns will like the same thing. That's why I listed most of the better slugs.
You may have to shoot them all to find out what your gun likes best. It sucks but sometimes you get to spend money shooting and sometimes you get lucky and find a good one right off the bat.

You need to try a few and I know it will not be cheap. Lightfields seem to always work in any shotgun, try the Buckhammers. The following slugs are great, but they seem to work better in a fast twist: HORNADY SST, WINCHESTER SUPREME PART. GOLD, FEDERAL BARNES, ULTRA CORE-LOKTS, COPPER SOLIDS

I can vouch for the SST rounds by hornaday. My 12gauge pump with rifled barrel and4 power scope shoots about a 3in group at 100yrds...very impressive round with some vicious stopping power...

I have the same set up but in 12ga. The Hornady SSTs work well for me. First year huning with the 870 I shot a large doe right through the heart at 110 yards. What type of scope are you going to mount on it? I mounted a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x 32mm shotgun scope that has been workin out very nice.

yeah i know it's good to try each of the $20 a box slugs. i have done it and will continue to do it. but all my guns come back to the lightfield shooting the best. the SST's are the worst followed my the core lok ultra. if 3" at 100 yds is good enough for you that's great. I'l take my cloverleafs at 100yds. to each his own. the SST will get there faster, if you're in to that speed stuff, but they are the most inconsistent slug on the market. how many times has hornady tried their hand at a high speed slug? seems about every 3 years or so they start over.
you should check and see what slugs the guys at tar-hunt custom slug guns shoot, i'd bet their made in hungry...
