Default Checkpoints in DC Neighborhoods, Gun Bans sure do protect the innocent.

D.C. has had to implement war zone like checkpoints do to a rash of shootings. I guess this happens when criminals know that the average citizen can't shoot back.

It's funny how those statistics work, but the press never talks about it. Places where guns are legal to be carried in plain site have much lower crime rates than the places where they are banned! Very frustrating how filtered the news is!! [:@]

I heard about checkpoints....geez, this is ridiculous. So is the no guns thing.

I believe I heard of europe checking its citizens for knives.....so at will it eventually come to for self protection?

Doesn't everyone have the right to self protection? meaning whatever the criminal attacking us with we have the right to own either a bigger or more dangerous weapon for our own safety and defense?

I always thought so! It sure looks to me like that's what the Consitution says. But it seems like the Supreme Court is about to tell us if that's what those words mean!! To me, it's pretty straightforward!!

SO gun control really doesn't work. I hear the ACLU is going to get involved. People that want to be killed in this neighborhood have every right to allow hoodlums into their neighborhood for that express purpose. Ahhh the twists and turns in the liberal ....er mind
