Look at the T/C R55, I've got the benchmark and have been really pleased with it's accuracy out of the box and no problems so far. Needs some trigger work though[:'(] First time at the range with Eley ammo on a windy day and I was able to get thesekind of ten shot groups, off a sandbag,on a consistent basis at 50 yards. I think they will shrink a bit when I get the trigger worked over andgo to the range ona day when the wind isn't gusting 15-20 mph...

marlins are renowned for rimfire. there's a reason for that. i've been shooting my dad's old marlin golden 39A and i recently put a 4x scope on it and it's still going strong. the ruger 10/22 is a very nice semi as the others have said.if you're looking for speed. (follow-up shots, loading, ) that's an excellent rifle to look at

I got a pretty good deal on mine, I paid$389. I think most of them go around $425 or so. But, by the time I figured adding a heavy barrel and new stock to a 10/22 I figure it wasn't too bad.

I wondered about the TC, thats good to knowand that is a good looking rifle. You are right about the 10/22 I don't have but 300-400 in mine but I didn't buy the gun, my dad bought it for me years ago when I was a kid. I just have money in the upgrades....
It is a fun little gun and suprisingly accurate (with the upgrades) @100ydsfor a .22 and a auto at that.
