270 WSM Rifle Suggestions
#11
I have a Winchester Model 70 Coyote Lite in 270WSM that is very very smooth. I hate to say it, but it may be my smoothest bolt gun I have. But.....I have yet to find a handload that it will shoot to my standards.

i shoot the weatherby vangaurd in 270 wsm, it will shoot less then 1 inche at 100 with the cheapo fed powershok 130 sp. i have a jewelled bolt on mine, its smoother then my buds sauer and sohn 202. its a great gun for customizing. one thing that i notice about my gun is that if you jam it hard against your shoulder it will kick you realy hard but if you let it lightly rest on your shoulder it seems to kick less then my fathers old ruger m77 international in 308

I just purchased a Vanguard Sporter in 308 and am very happy with it. Shot great groups right out of the box and was very pleased with the fit and finish.

I looked into getting a Howa in .270WSM but they don't make one. However, they do have a Weatherby Vanguard in .270WSM.

The last post just reminded me....
When I looked at Legacy Sport's website, they did not have any WSMs listed but I have visited Gunbroker.com and found several Howas in 270 and 300 WSM. Don't understand that but it looks like they are available.

I have a browning A-bolt and I am not that impressed with it.I will take a ruger over it any day.My brother got one in a savage 116ffs and it shoots great for a hunting rifle, factory ammo(1in moa).

I picked up a Tika-T3 in 270wsm a couple years ago for $379 new in the middle of summer. It shoots around a 3/8" group at 100yds. Been a Rem 700 fan for years but have to give the nod to Tika. Mine isn't the light weight and is in wood, but still is lighter than the 700adl in composite. The Rem 700 in 270 is a mid 70's era rifle. It was my go to rifle for years, it shoots 5/8" group, so nothing wrong with the Rem.
