BAD TRADER WARNING
 

I sent a money order to tess31470 for his 357 reloading dies almost a month ago (Friday, May 9). I have not received anything yet. I have called and emailed and have been given several excuses as to why these have not arrived along with promises that they would be here by last Tuesday. So far, nothing. Buyers beware.

i am not a bad trader i had a bunch of items going out and was sent to the wrong pearson it took some time for them to send them back and i told him what has went on he just chooses to be a <ASS> i sent hem the dies with a extra 20.00 in it just to show hin=m i was sorry but again when you deal with people you find all types iv delt with plenty of nice ones who sent me money and items worth hundreds and thousounds of dollors so why would i try to get to him for 30.00 dollors read my ads and see who ive sold to they will vouch for me that says it all he has called me and i have talked to him, bt hes like a tellamarketer he hasent stoped tha postal servece is the biggest problem here i waited on items as long as 10days before thanks for looking and sorry for eny drama i dont consider eny one who give there address phone and e mail to bad and who ansers ther phone ass ass ass ass

Wow, so you can answer a message! First of all, I am not "like a telemarketer" as I have only called you four times since sending the money order and after waiting two weeks. Each time I have called I have left messages for you inquiring where the dies are which any sane person would do when they purchase something that does not arrive. You have returned my call twice with promises that you were going to call me with shipping info or tracking numbers so we could figure out where these and you never provide any return phone call with method of shipping or tracking the dies never arrive. You have promised that these would be here by last Tuesday at the latest and again they never arrived. I also have dealt with many people and have found the majority of them to be honest and upstanding yet your stories and your excuses are not good business. The amount of money is irrelevant, it's the integrity of the transaction that is bothersome to me. Furthermore, your petty response certainly shows people that wish to do business with you exactly how you respond to people by reverting to profanity and accusations. I have been factual. Fact - I sent a money order to you as I promised to purchase this item from you. Fact - You have not sent the item to me after repeated promises, and excuses. Fact - You do not return email messages or return calls as you indicate you will yet you have no problem responding to this message. Again - buyers beware.

like i said the postal service does not give a tracking num for mail just sent i didnt have my wife send it priorty or with a tracking num because i didnt se a problem with regular mail but eny way when you get them i hope you enjoy thanks for your reply and for every1 reading this theres two sides two every storie and it doesent matter either way he doesent have his dies as of sunday adn i dont know when he will get them i hope soon so he will c i sent them and the extra like i said every 1 i have delt with knows i send out or send money as fast as i can but eny way theres no reason to argue back and forth hes been nothing but a ass and i understand but enyway to ech his own the same name on ebay tess31470 has 55 pevfect feedbacks out of 55 all good

I traded a rifle worth over 700 dollars this month with Scott(tess31470) for 3 Encore barrels. The transaction went smooth as silk. Have never met him in person, but I would not hesitate to do more business with him.
We are currently negotiating another possible trade for reloading equipment and scopes valued at several hundred dollars.
Can't imagine he would trade his integrity for 30 dollars.
I hope 24wayne gets his dies and will post on here that they were received.

I know I have no interest in this particlar case as I have never purchased anything from the seller but I do always read these because I may want to in the future. Iwould like to say based ENTIRELY on tess31470's response I would NEVER do business with someone that responds like that. Even if 24wayne's statements were complely false, that's not the way to go about responding. We're all adults here and things happen w/the postal service. A simple explination would have gone a long ways. The cursing and petty name calling is not the way to do business. The majority of people do business w/people because of their integrity. If the integrity is bad, sometimes it doesn't matter how good the deal is.

Wayne I am supriesed you had any trouble with this dealer .... I have sold him two rifles and Scott has always done everything he said he would do .... maybe he deserves the benifit of the doubt over $30.00 or $40.00 ....just my opinion.

I still have not received the 357 dies. Obviously they were never sent and that is unfortunate. It is truly sad that he didn't live up to his end of the bargain and I only wish he could have been honest enough to have told me that he just didn't send them and refund my money to me. I hope that Scott Pierce enjoys the money he got from me for his dishonesty and I hope that others are aware of what happened with me before they deal with him.

Me thinks it's time for the two parties involved to face off. If the addresses are in error then corrections should be made. If not, for what it's worth monies should be refunded. 30 or 40 isn't that big a deal but reputations are being drug thru the mud. If refunds are made and the items show up after a huge snafu by the illustrious Postal Service then apologies should follow along with payment that was refunded by seller back to seller. This forum would like more than anything to maintain the members integrity and fellowship. We can all work toward that end. Damn, I sound just like a philosopher, Amazing!!!!!!!!

According to you, you sent 24wayne his dies out on orbefore the first of June.......Here we are at least 17 DAYS LATER and he still doesn't have them?? How can you explain this? It's folks like YOU who turn others sour on these types of deals. Hell even if they do eventually show up (I doubt it) there is NO excuse for the delay. Why in the world wouldn't you get some kind of delivery conformation when sending stuff that has been purchased? Why the hell wouldn't you send his stuff Priority Mail? It will arrive in 2-3 days guaranteed and for an extra .75 or so you can get delivery conformation.....With a TRACKING NUMBER!Are you THAT cheap?? If you sold "guns worth hundreds and thousands of dollars" you canafford priority postage. Hell I've GIVEN away stuff on this web site, do a search for "BigJ's Late Night Giveaway" you will see what I'm talking about. Everything I gave away I mailedPriority mail. You are getting money for your stuff and you still couldn't mail it priority?....cheap bastard.

guys NEVER send anything in the mail without shipping usps priority mail
with delivery confirmation and insurance if needed
for the extra $ for delivery confimation there is no disputing the buyer got his package ever
delivery conf. is like $1.00 or something I ship ALL my packages with it
in this day with some folks the way they are it is needed to cover your a**

Priority is supposed to be three days, but the PO won't guarantee that. Priority means that if there is only room on the plane for one box, the priority package goes and the parcel post one doesn't. My worst experience with USPS was two weeks to deliver a priority package. I also bought a knife from a maker I had done business with before (a good guy who shipped before he got the cash). His shop is less than two days drive from me, yet the knife took two weeks to get here. Delivery confirmation is not a tracking number. I do use it, but most of the time it only appears in the system after delivery. USPS is the cheapest, but not necessarily the best.

I have no dog in this fight, but when it happened to me, both as seller and buyer, patience ended up being the best virtue. After two weeks though, I'd say a refund is definately in order.

Thanks for the info but I have received nothing from Scott at all - no dies, no refund, and no tracking number.I have sent two emails since June 1 and called three times and left messages. I have heard nothing.

All Scott has to do is email, call, or post the info to track his shipment yet he has done none of that. As someone that has sold many things to many people I would certainly have posted that information for anyone questioning my integrity to see that I did indeed send the item as promised or in this case the supposed refund. It's a simple thing to do and it ends everything as tracking information is capable of being searched by anyone and they would clearly see that whatever you sent has either been shipped or has arrived.

It is very clear to me what is going on here, Scott has lied to me, kept my money, and I have now waited two months for something (either dies or refund) that will obviously never arrive. If he were truly honest and everything is as he says it is, he would be eager to post the tracking information for his supposed registered mail shipment to clear this up. I checked Scott's user id (tess31470) and found he hasn't logged on or posted since 6/1/08.

Again, this situation is very easy to clear up here if he just posts, calls, or sends me the tracking info instead of spinning stories. As I posted before, I've been ripped off but I know that should anything ever arrive I will be a man and post the info. I would love to be wrong but so far...I have been 100% right.

I spoke with Scott on Monday evening. Didn't discuss this issue with him. I'm working another transaction with Scott. Monday evening he informed me he would be away from home til this weekend. Let's give him til he gets home. Then he should make good with his statements about a registered refund. I know from experience that the post office will on occasion loose things as if they were an airline. Things do show up many moons later, too late. I sent a barrel to a fella in Texas, it took weeks for him to find it. It was delivered to the front door, they never ever use the front door. He followed up with the post office and was informed it had been delivered. Checking the front door, he found it. He did however email me with apologies and informed me he had received the package in a timely manner just didn't check his front door. I was in the process of sending him a refund. All's well that ends well.

I have given Scott more than enough of my time and patience. I sent the money order on May 9 which he received on Tuesday of the following week. From the beginning of May until now he has had my money and I have nothing but excuses. He should have already "made good" on this as more than enough time has passed.


Scott is obviously able to speak with you as well as other members here but yet cannot give my messages or email any response at all. I realize that the postal service loses things as does anyone else but Scott's responses to me as well his complete lack of communication, in my opinion, are certainly indicative of dishonesty and a severe lack of integrity. I would never deal with him again in any capacity as he's only proven to me that he doesn't do what he says he will. DoctorDeath posted that he had spoken to Scott two nights ago and that Scott said he had refunded my money via registered mail with a tracking number. Again, email, call or post the tracking info....it's extremely simple and that hasn't been done. I would certainly inform my buyer of what I was going on as any upstanding seller would. Needless to say, I am not holding my breath that I will ever see a penny returned to me.

Wayne this is just my own thinking ...nothing that Scott has said to me ...but after all the name calling and accusations he might feel that he really has nothing to gain buy trying to make things right with you ...he looses either way after everything that has been posted here ...Im not sure what happend ...not sure if he jerked your chainfrom theget go or ifyou jumped to conclusions and made premature accusations on here... I do know that regardless he should do the right thing and send you your money back even if you have trashed him on here ...two wrongs dont make a right!

I sent my money to Scott on 5/9/08. He received it on 5/13/08 and I posted on here on 6/1/08 that I had received nothing allowing others to beware when dealing with him. I have never felt that he "jerked my chain from the start" nor have I called him names or trashed him. Scott was very easy to get a hold of prior to sending the money order and I thought all was well. If I was "jumping to conclusions" and making "premature accusations" my dies would have arrived already as he said he sent them, and I would have gladly posted their arrival on this board along with an apology to Scott for assuming the worst. However, the dies have never arrived, Scott will not return messages or email and I have written off this whole mess as a lesson in buying items from people on line like this.

I have stated exactly what happened to me during this situation. Scott on the other hand has called me names and has trashed me during his very first post which even further confirmed my suspicion that I had been taken for a ride. His responses were, in my opinion, not what someone would say if they were a decent person to deal with. I would never speak to someone that was purchasing something from me like that no matter what the problem they may be having.

As far as I am concerned, it is never too late to step up and correct something irregardless of what caused the error. If he chooses not to "make things right" with me than he loses his integrity in my opinion and that he will have to live with -- I would correct things personally no matter what. Running from an issue never makes the issue go away.

I have said from the start, it's not the money that bothers me, it's the integrity of the transaction that bothers me. I buy and sell all the time and always try to do what is right for my buyers. If they feel unhappy with a deal than I do what I can to make it right - be it a refund or whatever. I continually communicate with them during the deal letting them know that their money has arrived, their item is on the way (with tracking for my safety) and a follow up after arrival to make sure all is well. If they call or email me, I return the message even if it is about a problem. Whether the deal is for one buck or a thousand it's still the same to me. I respect my fellow sportsmen and women and I respect myself and my reputation during all my dealings. I went into this naively assuming the same would hold true for myself as a buyer as well which I now realize was a mistake on my part. I feel I have been ripped off and it is not a mistake I will make again soon.

So let me get this straight....first he supposedly sends the dies to the wrong guy....THEN he resends them to you (with a partial refund) and THAT gets lost or whatever. NOW he has allegedly sent you a full refund, tells DD all about it but won't bother picking up the phone to call you:eek:....the GUY HE'S SENDING IT TO, and we should cut him some slack?:eek::eek:

I believe that you have summed the whole thing up quite nicely - you are correct on all accounts as to what has happened. I wouldn't be in business as a seller myself if I thought everyone were like Scott but I thought people should be aware before the same thing happened to them. I got taken and he's hiding. That's pretty much the end up of this whole thing as far as I'm concerned.

I've had no dealings with either, but Wayne had no posts on this board prior to this thread. He signed up and posted the original post here to bash Scott about a sale made somewhere else. Apparently Scott has had great transactions with others on this site and is not a sham artist.

How do we know that Wayne isn't? He could have easily received the dies and is crying about it here to get his money back....thus getting the dies for free. 12 out of 13 of Wayne's posts on this site have been in this thread. Not really sure why so many are backing him.

Personally, if I were Scott at this point and had truely done what he said he has done, I'd tell Wayne to pound sand and move on.

Having said all that, as muddy as these waters are right now, who knows what really happened.
