Safeties....2 position or 3 position??

BTW..that has to be the worst safety design I have seen but if it works for you. Furhtermore in order to disprove my point you bring up a photo of a gun made early in the previous century.
First of all, i didn't post the picture to disprove anything... You said you had not seen one, and i took the time to show you one...there was nothing more to it than that!

Secondly, it's an excelent safety, and why wouldn't it be? My thumb sits right on it, and all i have to do it slide it foreward and down at the same time...

A tang safety would have me use my thumb, slide it foreward and then move my thumb over to where it "already is" on "this" gun...

I have them both, i use them both, and i like them both...

I guess that I am spoiled... My Remington 700 has a magazine door so to unload I just push a button and out comes all the ammo. Then to empty the chamber I just cycle the bolt. Granted I do need to place the safety in the off position to do so but last time I checked the only time a gun goes bang is when your finger pulls the trigger. If your unloading the gun your finger should be no where near the trigger!
