I was going to build a new 22-250 for ground hog hunting this year, and I let a friend talk me out of my other one. Now I have run into a snag with my gunsmith and will not have my rifle for this season.
I am going to buy a new rifle on Monday. I have narrowed it down to one of two rifles. both are 22-250 with a 1in9 twist. I want to shoot the 75 grain pill's. I would buy the Low Pro in LH if it was offered in 1in9, but it is only offered in RH.
Can anyone give me any information on the Low Pro versus the LRPV?? I have narrowed it down to these two rifles. I am assuming HS kept up their quality on the LRPV?? Does anyone know if either rifle has a RH palm swell??
The rifle will be used as a fixed position rifle only. All the hauling of the rifle will be done by my Kawasaki Mule, so carry weight is not an issue. Accuracy is my #1 concern.
You guy's have been telling me how great these Savage's are. Now it is your turn to talk me into one. Thanks, Tom.
