Default How far do you have to go to get to the range?

I' m in the suburbs of Los Angeles, a weekend trip to a range that has 100 yard and 200 yard targets is roughly an hour' s drive each way. Thankfully I can shoot trap within a half-hour' s drive, and there' s a pistol range about 10 minutes away.

Got to wondering how far y' all have to drive to get to a rifle range.

Our gun club is about 5 minutes away. Pistol Range, 2 100yd rifle ranges, trap, skeet, cowboy shooting, it has it all.

Our range is about 15 minutes drive from my house and offers a 550yard centerfire range as well as a handgun range and rimfire range. For the shotgunners two skeet and trap fields are available.

There' s a range on a SGL about a mile or so away-I hear the shooting everyday. But when I want to range shoot,I' ll go to my club which is about 30minutes away. They have 50-500yd rifle ranges,a handgun only range and shotgun pattern boards.

I have my own range on the property . We have four covered positions and up to 300 yard targets ,and one bench from in my reloading room up to 100 yards to check reloads and chrono without having to go to the range . The only local shooting range around here has a 100 yard max range ,and is mostly for pistol shooters or trap .

If i just want to shoot i go onto my deck and shoot. i have a hundred yard range behind my house. in timber for the realistic hunting setting.
i have a area you can shoot oh.... how many yards is it across 80 acres? about an hour and 15 a way. but it' s my hunting club so i can stay there to for a weekend.
now that 80 acres straight no trees and flat. i lease 2000 acres.

Bench rest and 250yd range right next to the house.I don' t shoot on the weekend when neighbors are all home out of courtesy but can shoot till I' m broke all week otherwise.Advantage to living in rural Maine.
