handgun scopes?
i plan on getting a new scope soon to put on my encore 12" 44 mag barrel which will eventually go on my 12" 454 casull barrel and i definately want a very durable scope because i will be putting some heavy handlaods through both barrels. i was hoping that some of you could recommend some good durable handgun scopes.
thanks.
thanks.

Burris gets my dime on this one, in fact all of the glass I' ve bought in the past two years has been Burris, Leupold makes a good one too, I just like the Burris better. Either one will hold up though.

Another one that I would consider is the Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6x32. Very good scope. Below is a quote from Bushnell:
" Elite 3200 handgun scopes offer 20" of constant eye relief at high and low power for big caliber handguns and are designed for .454 Casull recoil."
This scope will handle the punishment that you are expecting from you handgun.

I have a 2.5x T/c Pistol scope on my 454 and really like it. It has a lighted reticle that is really nice in low light conditions. I would recomend anyone that wanted a good handgun scope check them out.

My T/C Encore Pistol in .308 came with a T/C 2.5-7 scope, mounted and boresighted, as part of the package. The scope works well and has stood the abuse of hundreds of rounds.

I think the Leupolds are probably the top drawer as far as durability goes. You will need that with a .454 Casull. I like Burris handgun scopes but one of mine is about to go back for the second time. It hasn' t held up well under the recoil of a .44 Magnum in a TC.
