RE: Which Gun
Remington is my vote based on the objectives of the poll. However, the very question invokes many emotions. Do I choose my favorite hunting rifle, the best weapon for protection, or the weapon that has the most sentimental value?
Favorite Hunting rifle...Reminton 700 BDl SS, in 30-06 , very versatile...in spite of many remingtons I have and the most recent addition, my Reminton 700 bdl ss in .300 Rem UM.
Protection...I would have to keep my Remington 1100.....hard to miss with it!
Sentimental Value....a tough question....either the Winchester model 94 with Octoganal bbl in 30-30, or the Marlin lever action in 30-30..both given to me by grandfather and father , respectively.
Good thing I really don't, and won't have to choose just one!

RE: Which Gun
Greeting's All-
I'm brand new to this forum, but those who may know me from
other forums know that I'm a Remington Man at heart. There-
fore, for most thin skinned North American game I would have
to vote for the Remington model 700 BDL (wood/blue) in the
.25-06 Remington caliber. I love this combination of gun and
caliber.
Respectfully,

RE: Which Gun
Just ordered a new Reminton SPS in 270WSM, but I'd have to say I would stick with my trusty Browning BLR in .308. Nice and light, can carry it all day and has the punch for everything except big bears, which I don't hunt anyways.
