Blaser R93 using a .375 H&H... Anyone tried it?
I'm thinking about going to Africa in July of this year and will likely need a big bore gun on the trip. I have a Blaser Grand Luxe that I really enjoy shooting. Currently I only have .270 and .338 barrels. Getting a new .375 H&H barrel seems like the easy answer to round out my gun needs for this trip, but I've been a bit concerned with the weight of a Blaser in regard to the recoil of a bullet as big as a .375. I did see that Blaser makes a thing called a "Kickstop" which can be inserted into the stock to add the weight and reduce the recoil. This thing weighs 10 ounces and supposedly has some sort of beads or BB's in it that slide in some fashion when the gun is shot. Anyone here ever used a "kickstop" with this gun? Does it work? And can a Blaser R93 handle a .375 as well as it does other calibers?

Springhill- How was your trip to Africa? Is it as great as they all say? I' m curious about your Blaser. How is it shooting? How is the quality? Is it worth as much as they are asking? I read a short piece about these guns and it really piqued my interest. So, what say you?
