Bryan,
I would suggest Federals and or Lightfields sabots . They will perform as good if not better than any other out there in a Remington barrel. I have some if you want or need them? This is from years of experience in a shotgun only state of Indiana, before I get slammed for trying to sell something, agian?
Who cares if your trying to sell something. I'm glad you sold me the barrel I needed. If you look in the feedback section I posted what a good dude you are to do business with. You helped me and offered a lot of good FREE advice before I ever bought anything from you. I'd advise anyone here to look to you if they needed a particular item. Ruger Mike gets an A+ from me on the good guy report!

1 and 34 or 35 for a 12 gauge which means it may not care for the lighter faster stuff. Never know until you try though. All the guys I know shooting 870's have pretty good luck with winchester BRI slugs. And my H&R ultra really liked winchester platinums.

The key is every gun is different and you need to play around until you find what YOUR gun likes. And slug guns tend to be morey picky than center fire rifles from what I have seen. And a lot of it will depend on what sort of accuracy you are looking for. Do you want 1-2 inch groups at 100 yards, or minute of deer at 50-75 yards?
