I would suggest Federals and or Lightfields sabots . They will perform as good if not better than any other out there in a Remington barrel. I have some if you want or need them? This is from years of experience in a shotgun only state of Indiana, before I get slammed for trying to sell something, agian?

1 and 34 or 35 for a 12 gauge which means it may not care for the lighter faster stuff. Never know until you try though. All the guys I know shooting 870's have pretty good luck with winchester BRI slugs. And my H&R ultra really liked winchester platinums.
The key is every gun is different and you need to play around until you find what YOUR gun likes. And slug guns tend to be morey picky than center fire rifles from what I have seen. And a lot of it will depend on what sort of accuracy you are looking for. Do you want 1-2 inch groups at 100 yards, or minute of deer at 50-75 yards?
