The 6.8 Rem Special is a newer round they are trying to get the military to use. It hits more like the 7.62X39 round but has the recoil of a 223. NOt that the 7.62 round has much recoil. DPMS are good AR-15s. Im currently looking at a Rock River Arms but cant decide which one i want. From what ive shot in the 7.62X39 round it is not very accurate. Ive shot it in a few AK-47s and SKSs and also in a bolt rifle.

The crap ammo on the market for the 7.62X39mm, in particular the stuff from Russia, the former Soviet-bloc nations, and China, is terrible! But the 7.62X39mm is VERY ACCURATE. It just has to be loaded carefully with good bullets and a correct powder charge! Then it has to be fired from a PRECISION RIFLE-not an SKS, or worse yet, an AK!
