first pump-shotgun

ok im new to this section. i am always in the bowhunting or fishing sections. well anyways i have used autoloader shotguns and have a bunch of rifles. but i wanna be safe on this one. i am borrowing my grandpa's pump mossberg 590 to shoot skeet and trap this weekend. i know how to do it all but i am not sure on loading the gun. i know how to but i am not sure on loading more than one at a time. the gun holds 9 plus 4 in the stock but i will not be loading more than 2 shots at once. so any help would be nice. and i know this gun is light-weight and short barrel equals bruises

Yea your gonna be sore the next day after a few rounds. Just load the gun like you would a semi-auto. The 4 in the stock are just storage you still have to load them into the tube or chamber. Just open the chamber and put one in(Make sure the gun is on safe) then put one in the tube and you got your 2 shells.

It will have more recoil but with light target loads it will be tolerable. I shoot my Mossberg 835 Turkey gun since its my only shotgun. It has a 20in barrel and i have no problem shooting 150 to200 rounds through it in a day shooting clays. I am a little sore when im done that many rounds. The recoil iscomparable to shooting a 22-250.
