I was at a local sporting goods store this past weekend, and came accross a new 12 guage pump that was made by New England Firearms.

I believe it was called the NE1, but I don't remember for sure. In any case, it said it was made by NEF.

Does anyone know anything about these?

I saw a write up on htem a while ago. So your not crazy you realy did see a NEF pump. If I remember correctly to keep costs down they are made n China ( don't quote me on that until I verify it) but the gun mag thought it was a good gun for the money.

I saw one at a gun show over the weekend. It looks like an 870 rip off to me. If I had the choice, I would get an 870.

I have looked at it ,but haven't talked to anyone that has bought one .

I saw one at a gander mountain about a year to a year and a half ago. It does look like a 870 rip off but the salseman said he shot a friends of his and that it shot nice. It was only $150 and i thought about it but in the end i bought a tried and true 870. They come with 3 chokes too, at least they did there.

Actually I think it is more like an Ithica rip-off, isn't it? It was on Guns and Ammo TV I beleive. There was also a nice write up in the magazine/web page. I think it is called the pardner pump... It was voted one of their guns of the year. That's all the info I can give you.

I think the Ithica ripoff is a norinco. I have seen it in the CDNN catalog. The Pardner pump is a side ejecting pump, very similar to the 870.

I too read the write up in guns and ammo. The called it well worth the money and the only gripe was that itsa little light in weight for the heavy loads. Kicks.
