Anyone shooting the new Taurus PT1911?
Looking into buying a "loaded" 1911 like the Springfield loaded stainless, but I can't help but wonder what the new Taurus is like. I hear nothing but good things about it, but I'm not really a Taurus guy. Sure is a lot cheaper that the Springfield though. Any ideas, comments, suggestions?

I think you will find good and bad reviews on them. I don't have one. On another site THR (the high road) it seems most like them but there have been a few problems, but you will find that with any gun company, they are machines and will have failures. But I don't think the price was a low as everyone had hoped. But they do have a good warrenty

A buddy of mine bought one of them a couple months ago. It had constant FTF and FTE issues from the begining with any and all ammo tried. He sent it in for repair, and the expected wait time is 4 months. I don't hink the issues are bad, and it can happen from any maker out there. But Taurus' repairs take waaaaaay too long. I had the same issue with Taurus last year when I sent in my revolver for warranty work. That gun was out of my possesion for 97 days, to repair the rear sight.
I knowI will never buy another firearm from them until they straiten out there repair shop.
