It is post 64, .308 short action carbine, blue, wood, 19" barrel. Condition, overall good to very good, maybe 90%. The blue is faded a bit at the muzzle and on the floor plate. The stock has one significant mar about an inch long, but did not penetrate the finish. Stock has some other normal scratches and dings. This gun has been used for hunting, with average care, probably most of it's life (30 - 40 years). It functions perfectly and shoots very well. The open sights have been removed and it holds a Simmons Whitetail Classic in 1.5 X 5.
I'm not interested in selling, just curious about the value. Looked on a couple gun sites, hardly any like it for sale.

I had one of them in 243 and the previous owner had thoughtfully carved a deer head likeness in the stock. I think I sold mine for 350 dollars. Yours is probably worth more since it didn;t have the deer head carving. Good luck
