300 wsm is simply not needed for Deer plain and simple . I have had excellent accuracy out of all the 300 wsm's I own/owned and never had one that was the slight bitfinnicky.

The 280 Rem. is one of my favorite cartridges. It's a great deer/ black bear/wild boar cartridge. My friend has a 300 WSM. He bought it for a moose hunt he went on. It worked great. Personally I don't think it's needed for deer or wild boar.[/align]

Go with the .300 WSM; one day you might want to hunt larger game. Good luck.

No such thing as too dead. I personally don't like the WSM line, but many people do. That having been said, you could go with the 7mm wsm. Now you have the 280 bullet in a wsm case.
