When I was making the decision I felt both of the rifles and got a lot of input from forums and gun dealers. While I didn't think the Browning bolt was near as smooth as the Tikka, it definately looked better. In terms of accuracy, I think both will give you all you ever need...I haven't worked enough with my Tikka 30-06 to be able to offer good advice. But I love my Tikka...extremely smooth bolt, light, points beautifully, and it's made in Finland as opposed to Japan
