I purchased a Marlin 336C and was filling out the warranty card and it asked for the serial number. Ifound one on the box but cannot find one anywhere on the rifle. This is the only gun I own without a serial number stamped on it. Am I missing something?

look at the base of the mag.tube where it goes in the receiver should be there.

I found it. It is actually by the hammer on the grip.
