Are you sure they allow you to shoot rifle calibers in shotgun territory???? I'm from Michigan and I hunted shotgun territory with a single shot T/C contender. The law stipulates that anyhandgun thatcan carry no more than six straight walled catridges bigger than .35 caliber(.357,.41,.44,.45,.454,.460,.480,.50)was allowed, including single shots. If you can shoot a7mm-08 through a pistol in Wisconsin, whydon't theyallow rifles? The bullet will still go a great distance even though its shot from a shorter barrelwith less fps.Double check the law before you buy! Good luck

PA is the same way. The loaw just says manualy operated handgun. They have no regulation on caliber for them. Im sure they will soon with the rifle caibers out on handguns now but for this season and the last few there were no restrictions.
