Default help me buy a shotgun

I am looking to buy a semi-auto shotgun. I am not made of money, but want to buy a reliable gun. I was looking at the Stoeger Model 2000, do any of yall have any experience with the company? Any other shotguns to look into?

the stoeger 2000 is good, for a few dollars more I would go with a Remington 11-87

I'd opt for the 11-87 over the Stoeger also. Long reputation of being a uality firearm. Remember though, skimping out on a gun, or anything really, just to save a few bucks CAN bite you later. You get what you pay for. If you want quality and reliability, you'r better off saving a bit more and getting a better gun to begin with.

How much can I get a Remington 11-87 for? I would just like one with the wood stock. I want one for shooting skeet, a little upland hunting, to take into the turkey woods, etc. Can I do all of this with just one gun, just change chokes?

I'd think you could get one in the $600 +/- range. One platform can suffice the needs you mention with just a change of chokes and shot.

Be aware that some 11-87s will not reliably cycle light target loads.

Look around and hit the used gun racks and pawn shops. I found a 1978 manufacture Rem 1100 that had maybehad a boxof shells thru it for $365.
If you're not in a hurry there's still bargins to be found
