well depending on where at you are really is the question but i would take my 410 it is alot better then a 22 and can shoot slugs and shot or buck shot.

Ideally,what I'm talking about is a break down version rifle as you would enjoy increased accuracy compared to handgun. Let's look at it realistically-if you can't shoot a handgun well enough to competently hunt with-you damn sure ain't going to shoot better all of a sudden in a suvival situation.

CZ 527 Carbine with 18.5" barrel comes in .223 or 7.62x39 either one would work well. Short barrel, detachable magazine, and open sight.

.22 mag for me. small enough not to destroy small game meat and large enough to take down deer (ifin survival mode where laws wouldn't apply). whether anyone wants to admit it or not, .22 mag's have probably taken more deer than any other caliber (poachers love them).
