anyone try the .308 nef survival rifle?

been looking at these for a while now, but now i am looking for some first hand experiences. if you own this rifle, shot one or even held one i would like to know your opinion.

I had a survivor in .223 for a while. Accuracy was acceptable and it looked good. The NEF's just don't balance well for me. Not a critisism, just an observation based on the 2 I've owned.

I had one a few years ago in 410, it was ok. I really liked it.
The compartment in the stock was a neat idea and I don't know why it's not more popular. I used to put my gloves in there along with a candy bar.
I didn't have it for long though, one of myrabbit hunting buddieswas amazed by it. He asked if I'd ever be willing to sell it, I said I would, then he asked if I would let it go for $200.00... I said "Sounds like it's yours!"
I bought the thing used for $100!
I even let him keep the candy bar.[8D]
