The standard 45 grain soft point works better for your purpose than the loadings with 40 grain ballistic tipped bullets as they are more explosive(if such a term fits the hornet). I don't know what rifle you have and assume you won't be reloading for it however if you reload and rechamber it to K hornet it really wakes it up. By rechambering it to k hornet you will experience higher velocity,more accuracy,not as fickle on loads,longer case life,and easier extraction.
