I am not sure if my insurance would cover it or not.
But I am an NRA member and I didn't even think of that. I will have to give them a call and find out. Wish I would have thought of it. What a great idea.

Most homeowner's policies only cover the first $1000 of firearms damage/loss. You have to buy a firearms policy or put a rider on your homeowner's, depends on the company. It's usually the same for jewelery, most don't find out until too late.
