I took my Mark X in 270 to the range today it outshoots my remington 700 in 270 with the same ammo. I got the Interarms for $250 and it was well worth it. I also got an old 3x9 widefield scope with it.

I had one a few years back that left a BAD taste in my mouth for the .270 The gun and action were nice but I couldn't ge it to group to save my butt. Does your get hot after 3 or 4 rounds? As in hot I mean can't touch the barrel hot??

I have one in 7X57 mauser. I shot a few black bear with it then got married and my wife took it over. She shot a moose and a few bighorn ewes with it.
I did some handloading for it but could not load anything that shot much better than factory stuff. It is not a varmint rifle and I did not buy it as one. It is a great big game rifle for my wife and my kids will probably start using it now they are bigger and "out grown" the .243.

I've had a few Mark X rifles and the ones I had functioned well and provided reasonable to excellent accuracy.
I built a .257 Weatherby on one once and it shot extremely well.

Ihave one in 22-250 . Only bad thing is that it holds so much heat in the action if you try to shoot 10 shot groups about the 8 or 9th shot blows primers in factories or mild hand loads . So Ishoot 5 and let it cool .
