Have a Choate stock I'm looking to paint. Has anyone tried the Camo Krylon Fusion paint. How well does it stick, do I need a clear coat of some kind to protect if from hand oil/ solvents? Any help would be great. Also any ideas for colors/ patterns would be great. I'm thinking of trying to put the new army digital camo on it, saw a post here a few monthes back on Savage shooters forum that someone did that, any ideas on how to put that pattern on would also be great. Let me see yours for ideas to copy. Thanks

I dont know about the paint but the digital camo paintjob should be simple if you do it right. Its going to be time consuming to do it but not very hard at all. You get some painters tape and cut out a bunch of little squares. Then you just paint over the stock one color at a time starting with the light colors and going to the dark. Add the squares in the places you want to keep that color then paint the next color. Keep repeating this process without taking any of the squares off until your done wit all the painting. Then you carefully remove the squares. We usually use a razor blade but use what seems best to you. After that you can clear the stock if you want.
