I have been looking very closely at the Bushnell Elite 3200, for my Savage 110. A Nikon scope won't fit with the present two piece ring setup - I'd have to get a one piece base, or offset/extension rings. I called both SWFA and Optics Planet and got the exact measurements on scope lengths and mount lengths (distance between the two objectives / length of the main tube). I need at minimum, a 6" scope length. Nikon's are 5 7/8" for one model and 5 3/4" on another. [&o]

Butch A.
While I would not hesitate to recommend a 3200 elite to anyone, I have one on my savage american classic 14 and I had to use the offset mount in order to mount it.

I was very skeptical of buying a 200 dollar 3200. But solitaryman on here, and others raved, so I bought one for my brother for his B-Day, and had to fondle it for a while. (had to have a guinea pig) Ever since then I have been sold. For 200 dollars range, its the best out there.

I guess in the big scheme of things, it doesn't matter. But come to find out everyone who nicely said they don't like bushnell, has never owned the bausch and Lomb 3200 series or the 4200 series. They are just going off the bushnell name in general. Or what they heard from the corner gas station.

One thing that is so annoying about these pages, is people like to post on what they heard, not what they have experienced wtih the exact product. And thats just BS.

Its kinda hard to recommend or not tell how you feel when you've had a bad experience with a certain brand. I've had bushnell binocs and scopes and did not like any of them, they were junk.I would not recdommend them or buy them. On the other hand you are correct, I have not owned the particular scope in question, nor will I ever. But I cannot say it is a bad product, it is probably a great scope from what I've read from you guys that own them. I've just had great results from my Nikons and plan on stickin' with them, and recommending them.

True I have not owed the model scope mentioned , but have owned other bushnell products in the past , as well as many hunting partners experiance with this brand , and myself and my partners have been less than satisfied , I mentioned moultie , and equate the 2 companies with about the same lack of quality , you could throw tasco in the bunch also , brands I wont waist time looking at , because they have let me down in the past .
