Funny you should mention the recoil pad, my pellet rifle has more recoil than my .22....
its not that you bb gun has more or less recoil its that the direction of the recoil, pellet guns have forward and reverse recoils which make the shooter preceive them differnlty...i have had to buy ever mount under the sun and still my scope kreeeps back...its a real pain

.:SCOPE:EYE:.I think a good place for you to start would be about third grade English to learn grammar and spelling. As far as the scope "kreeeeping" back, there are scope stops out there made especially for pellet guns.

Uncle Matt I am flattered by the job offer, PM meso we can discuss mysalary requirements. While the ceramic weld might work, Igot tothinking, I have a bunch of R-12 and R-502 in cylinders in my shed, Perhaps we could come up with a copper jacket for the barrel and the boss fill it with liquid refrigerant to cool the barrel, Something along the lines of the old water cooled Maxim guns of WW1. I think the refrigerant would cool that barrel and the boss very satisfactory for your needs, The only concerns I can see at this time are 1. the EPA might take a dim view of our refrigerant usage, and 2. damage to the ozone in the areas you would be hunting in. The only other option I can think ofis to cyrogenically dip the barrel in liquid nitrogen before each shot, The advantage to this method is obvous, With liquid nitrogen on hand you can save any animals or birds shot with the boss fitted air rifle so they can be brought back to life sometime in the future. Thus saving you the hassle of going out and looking for new targets, When you wanted to hunt in the future you could just thaw something...
