Default Who likes savage .308 ?

I might have a change to buy a Savage bolt action .308 cal Rifle really cheap. What do you guys think about this gun. I have a .243, .270 and 30.06 but I would like to keep adding to my collection. Is this a good buy or should I pass ?

Theres nothing wrong with either the Savage or .308. I have a couple of .308's and a couple of diferent Savages. If you like the gun I would buy it.

I absolutely love the 308 Win. and Savage makes a pretty decent rifle, so I say go for it if you like it and the price is right.

Where and how much? I'll take it if you don't want it.

the 308 will take anything in NA with the proper bullet. If you want it, BUY it.

I own a couple .308's, one is a Savage. The .308 is an accurate, dependable, versatile hunting cartridge. Being 30 caliber there are numerous choices for bullet weight, and they basically perform like a 30-06 out to about 175 yds. My wife shot an elk with hers using some 170 gr. Nosler flat nose loads I made up. Mine is a bull barrel LE version I mainly use for target shooting, although I have hauled it out to see what it would do to a doe.
