I have been shooting all my life. Started shooting competitive trap/skeep at 13 (against adults....and winning a fair bit). For about 5-6 years I was shooting 250+ shot shells a WEEK in the summers and probably half that in the winter. Started reloading shot shells at 14 (although my presses are boxed up right now, moved about 5 years ago and haven't been shooting as much).


I would have said the same thing as you if it hadn't happened to me. I think I would have noticed if I had been the one loading/shooting the gun, but who knows.
