i am 15 i hunt mostly deer but i also hunt moose and elk so i need something with a little power. i was think a .270
tell me wut u think would be best?

since you throw moose into the equation, id get a 30-06 just for the extra bullet weight and power.

Depending on your stature, I think a .270 WSM might be what your looking for. Good luck.

Get the most popular gun in any Ontario camp, rem 7600 in 30-06 or 308.

Depending on what your stature isand shooting experience are you may do well with the '06. Many factory ammo offerings and can kill anything that walks in No. America.
Will this be your only rifle for a while, or are you planning on buying others in the near future? If you are, a solid two gun battery would be a .243 Win, .260 Rem, .270 Win for deer/antelope size game and a 7mm Mag or .300 WSM for the big stuff.Put a decent scope on them and hunt away!!!

.338 Win mag, or .375 H&H Mag, would be good choices.

Do you and Dad reload? If so look into the 280 rem, everything the 270 is for deer but better suited for elk and moose due to the .284 bullets available. If not then 3006. If you have handled larger the 7mm rem mag or 300's(wsm or wm)will do nicely.

Nothing wrong with .277 but it is a bit limiting on larger then deer game.

270 is a great gun use 130gr. sierra gamekings for deer and barns 150 gr x bullet for elk and moose
