Default 5mm magnum conversion

I just descovered a conversion kit and ammo so one can shoot the 5mm rem. magnum in a centerfire format. Has anyone done this conversion? The rem. rifles for the 5mm came in a clip mag and a tube mag. Do you think having ammo point to primer in the tube mag. could pose a problem?

I always liked the idea of the 5mm rimfire and may go after a rifle and conversion kit.

I have heard of this conversion. It's generally not a good idea to have cartridge primer to bullet point. I can't help but wonder why you don't simply install a .22 mag or .17 hmr barrel? Possibly even trade the whole rifle? I believe it would be more expensive to convert your rifle to 5mm centerfire than above suggested options.

There's lotsowners withinfo on this conversion on rimfirecentral.com

I really like my Rem. 5mm mag., and i still have 25 or more boxes of ammo around for it... I just never shoot it anymore because i can't replace the ammo...

One of these days someone will make me an offer i can't refuse and i'll sell it....
