He lives on fantasy island. Little guy hanges out in the bell tower yelling "the plane, boss the plane".

heat mirage? I don't think there is a lot of that where i hunt.
Yes there is. I hunt Idaho
Holy... I almost just died laughing big country. good call.

and congrats on hunting idaho, where do you hunt? If you hunt in S. Idaho in the potato fields or desert to the west I wouldn't consider hunting in idaho. Once you move your way up to where the big elk and mulies live in the north, then you are hunting Idaho. Where its raining/snowing/windy, tree covered steep mountains. There is no humid sunny days where you are shooting at over 300 yards at an animal with a damn steam cloud. No. Maybe a cross ridge shot at an animal snaking through a clear cut or opening, but thats about it, and yes its still either raining or snowing, or just generally cold.

Why are you being ignorant? I shoot inthe spring and summer so yeah there is mirage. Not associated with animals, just in general, just like I posted an example of.

I do recall stating that it's sometimes an issue in warm weather. And yes contrary to what you seem to think warm weather does occur, even in central and N. Idaho. Sheesh like that even needs to be said.

I don't know that I've ever even seen a potatoe field. Everyone always says that about Idaho. I live where the elk, mulies and wolves are.

Just believe whatever makes you feel better about yourself and keep on paying good money to come out west and do what I get paid to do.

Heck I'd be mad too. [:@]

I can outshoot you with my .22lr vs your .308 @ 200
I'm not sure how good of a shot BrutalAttack is but I find that a VERY hard to believe statement.

What kind of groups are you getting out of a .22lr at 200 yards? You are going to be getting a drop of about 6' and I hope the wind isn't blowing. Just the variation of 1 grain of power would causea difference of a couple inches in drop at that range. Unless you are using a really nice target rifle and match grade ammo you aren't going to be getting groups better than a dinner plate at 200 yards. Even with match grade ammo you are going to be lucky to get groups under 4" and that is from a bench rest under perfect conditions.
With the setup in my sig, I can shoot 0.4" groups @ 100 yrds and ~0.6" @ 200 yards off my daypack.

Scout:If you stayed off the crack pipe long enough, you'dprobably stop believing that you have special powers!

Seriously though,I'm a direct descendent of Daniel Boone but that doesn't give me any special powers....at least not that I know of.
NPADEN: I have severalold rimfires.I have no problems shooting Sparrow sized stuff@ 100 yards all day long...
That comment was more sarcasim than anything.

BRUTAL: I have no special powers nor ever claimed to.
You asked where I come from and I told you and gave you a rough answer of where my skills originated. It has nothing to do with Pedigree.
If you indeed do hold .4MOA groups, then I have no problems believing you are a hired killer for our Government. That is their requirement.
But I do not expect to be talked down to just because you do not agree with my Technique.
I plan on being in Wyoming in 2008. If you are still in the Idaho area maybe we can meet up and I will "take you under my wing" for a day or two. If knowledge does not interest you then...
We can have fun doing a little small-bird shooting. That is the old way, you know???
I am a Hillbilly but am no Crackhead.
