I was getting prepared to order a 20 guagebarrel for my little NEF 243 and was scrolling down the list of options when I saw this "410/45 colt" is it one barrel that you can shoot either through? I dont think with one hammer it could be a over under combo. Tell me what you think. EJ

I just noticed that I called it a 54 cal instead of 45 cal. I occasionally pull dunce moves like that. Anyway, that would be cool I think. I just wouldnt mind knowing what kind of ballistics a 45 could get out of a rifle barrel. Any idea's? EJ

I think they are more of a novelty item than anything, although I've never shot one of them. I do have a double barreled handgun that shoots .410/.45LC, and I can't hit the inside of a barn with the 45. The .410 will cause serious harm at close ranges, but then again, that's what it was made for. The barrels are partially rifled. Could be the rifle combo would be a real "fun gun".

Well, I might just forget that if it wont group worth a dern. I wouldnt expect any more than 3 moa, ya think it might come close to that? I couldnt imagine that it would be effective at more than 100 YDS. EJ
