Default gun / scope fit

Hey guys, I know someone will have an answer to this question. I have a new Ruger M77 Mark II Compact Stainless / laminate being delivered tomorrow. It will come with the standard Ruger Medium rings. What is the largest Objective lens / bell that can be mounted on the gun. And Is that with an adjustable Objective. If it has an A.O. what is the largest size.

Thanks and God Bless

Medium rings will generally allow any 40 mm objective and a occasionally a 50mm.

Along with what ShatoDavis said, make sure when you set your eye relief that the objective lens is not touching the barrel at all. Be sure.
