Default Browning BAR 30-06 question

Just got this rifle from my father-inlaw. Was wondering someone told me that the rifle will shot the 1st round that you chamber yourself different from the rounds chamberd by the gun. Is this true for semi-auto rifles?

And if so should i sight the rifle in on the 1st round?

Default RE: Browning BAR 30-06 question

I would fire three round groups and include the first round in the group. When hunting, your first round will be, naturally, the first expended.
