I own a Browning micro-medallion in 7mm/08 with a 20" barrel. Does anyone know if the gun can be rechambered for 7mm WSM and if the magazine and bolt can be modified to fit the new 7mm WSM? I went to my dealer today and the 150 gr WSM rounds fit the magazine OK but only 2 will fit at a time but that's not a problem since I'll have 3 with one in the chamber. My current magazine isn't exactly the same measurements of the WSM magazine pulled from a gun on their shelf. But the rounds fit fine by a hair. I really like the light and handy qualities of the micro medallion but Browning doesn't make the WSM family of cases for this gun yet. You're stuck buying the slightly larger full size versions. Please give me some input.

Greg7,
Yeah the more I think about it the more I don't want to bother especially since it's a MOA gun right now with my reloads. It sure does feel as light as a BB gun though!! Thanks.

"Im thinking 308 or the 7mm 08. What kinda range is it good for on deer?"
Both calibers are viable options out to 400 yards (albeit with ~20" of holdover) with the right factory load...
