30-06 to 300 win mag rechamber?

I know every gun is different; but, so far, the Hornady Light Magnum ammunition has not been able to deliver its advertised velocity. Itclocks about 50 fps faster than thefastest 30/06 handloads I have been able to safely produce. But not over 2900. I can generally get 3,000 from a 30/06 Ackley Improved; and 3,100 or morefrom a .300 Win Mag. And accuracy, at least for me, has not been very good with the 30/06 Light Mag ammo.

The Hornady light mag ammo is very overrated, I have never seen it come anywhere close to listed velocites, its always close to the standard velocity for a given loading though.

There is no need to open up the action rails on a Remington 700 long action when going from a 30/06 to a .300 Winchester. I do recommend a magnum follower. Now the .300 RUM and 7 RUM . . . . . they need the rails opened up as well as anultra magmagazine box and follower.
